An announcement released by the British Royal Family says the agenda will celebrate the historic ties between the United Kingdom and the United States and mark the 250th anniversary of American Independence.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla will pay a state visit to the United States, on an agenda organized on the recommendation of His Majesty’s Government and at the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to the official announcement published by the Royal Family on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the program is expected to highlight both the historic connections and the contemporary bilateral relationship between the two countries.

According to the statement, the visit will also carry symbolic importance as it takes place in the context of celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the Independence of the United States. So far, the Palace has not disclosed dates or the full itinerary for the trip.
After the U.S. leg, the King will continue to Bermuda, where he will make his first Royal Visit as monarch to a British Overseas Territory. That stage reinforces the institutional role of the British Crown alongside territories linked to the United Kingdom outside the European continent.
The announcement frames the upcoming trip as another high-level diplomatic move by the British monarchy in 2026, at a time when London is seeking to emphasize strategic alliances and historic ties with key partners on the international stage.
